My comment:
Such an action by
authorities get initiated only to show that there is nothing like democracy, nothing
like Rule of Law and whatever remains as the Freedom of Speech guaranteed to
the citizens (I hope no body will dispute that Prof Rajeev Kumar is a citizen)
by the Constitution is notoriously absent from real life and all the issues of
Whistle Blower protection Act etc is fully dependent on the mercy of the powers
that be. No respect for one's fearlessness and frankness. Freedom of Speech and
democratic values have entered into the narrowest lane of the socio-political
system. Even SC calling Prof Rajeev an "unsung hero" and patting his
back did not make a difference to the IITKh authorities because if a whistle
blower is protected the business deals between people in different positions
enjoying personal and financial favour of the powers will be in trouble.
Frivolous charges like buying of a comupter for his son from Govt money can be
heaped on anybody as 'Offence is the best form of defence'. This notorious gang
consisting of the corrupt Chairman,BOG, IITKh , the Director and their hand in
gloves in corruption, thieves and scoundrels going around in the name of great
academicians must be dispatched lock, stock and barrel to clean the system.
